Below are two Musters, one from 1948 and the other from 1969. Copies from originals that used to hang in the Regimental Mess and rescued from the Dustbin. Is  your name is there??,(Just click on the relevant picture).

Hi
Thought you may like to see these, which I've scanned in from my originals. The photo is my great grandfather No. 1749 Sgt William Williams of 10th Royal Hussars,in his full kit and pictured with his wife Alice (Alice Lucy Ann Pirouet) who was French - marked with a X - and his sister who looks a bit fierce. The other scans are of his discharge paper, front and back, and you can see he was discharged in October 1896 after 24 years service at age 42 (4+ years spent abroad on active service).

This is all I have relating to him and it was a small miracle it came to me really!! I have no idea where the medals went but guess they were sold off at some point. He became a publican in Southwark after his discharge, according to the census in 1901 and after Alice died in childbirth with their 3rd child.

Enjoy anyway.

Best regards,
Sue Woodard
